We do not collect any data beyond what is publicly available to all OpenCourse viewers, and thus cannot sell any personal information.

Public information

Our content system (MediaWiki) may collect information about your use on our site, which is displayed on the OpenCourse wiki.

This information is publicly available, and includes info such as:

  • Your username
  • Your IP (if not logged in)
  • The date you publish an article

We do not collect any personal information.

For unregistered users, your IP address may be public if you edit any lessons.

If you simply browse OpenCourse, even if you have an account, we will not collect any data about you.

Your content

If you publish OpenCourse content, you agree that the content will immediately be public.

You also accept that what is published on OpenCourse becomes the public domain. You cannot claim copyright on OpenCourse content, even if you originally wrote the content.

You must follow the Creative Commons Zero (Public Domain) licence.

Transparency

If ever any personal information will be shared, we will warn you before publishing.
